Serving the Lord is an effort that cannot be undertaken by one individual. We believe in working together and in the same spirit as a body of Christ to preach the gospel and find lost souls for the Lord. "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others" (Romans 12:4,5). Our Resolve, Our mission is to make people disciples of Christ. We believe that there is no room for spectators in the Kingdom of God. For this reason, our ministries work together as a unit under the command and authority of Jesus Christ for the advancement of our Lord's Kingdom. We understand that God gives us gifts so we can build up his church and we believe and resolve that to use these gifts effectively, we must:
Realize that all gifts, abilities, and talents come from God
Understand that not everyone has the same gifts
Dedicate our gifts to God's service and not to our personal success
Be willing to use our gifts wholeheartedly, not holding back anything from God's service
God's gifts differ in nature, power, and effectiveness according to his wisdom and graciousness, not according to our faith.
We cannot, by our own effort or willpower, acquire more talent and thus be more effective servants.
God gives gifts and power as he wills. Our role is to be faithful and to seek ways to serve others with what Christ has given us.
God did not allow David to build the temple but gave this great tusk to his son Solomon. Here at the Global Evangelical Church we have been entrusted with the same tusk to build a house of worship for the Lord. It is a big responsibility and it is going to cost a lot of money. The good thing is that silver and gold belongs to the Lord. At the beginning of this year 2005, we called upon our members to put aside a sizable gift off their incomes so that we may be able raise a down payment for the church building. The response has been tremendously positive!
